There is construction affecting the drive (see the Maps & Directions page).  In general:

From Red Wing:

Take US 61 North to County 18.  Take a right (north - there will be signs for Treasure Island) on County 18 to the Treasure Island Entrance on the Right.

From the Twin Cities

Take US 61 South or US52/MN 55 East to Hastings.  From Hastings take US 61 south (you will stop and turn left/east once while still on US 61) to a left at County 18 past Miesville (north - there will be signs for Treasure Island on US 61).  Take County 18 to the entrance for Treasure Island Casino on the right.

Recommended: As an alternative in Hastings on US 61 take a left at 10th St (east) which becomes Dakota County 54.  Take this to Dakota County 18 and take a left (east) on County 18 and then left at the Treasure Island Entrance.

From Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport:

Take Highway 5 West to Interstate 494 East.  Just past the Mississippi River bridge take US 61 South to Hastings. Follow the directions "From the Twin Cities" after that.

From and Northern and Western Minnesota:

Get to the Twin Cities - then take I-494 South/East and/or I-694 East/South to US-61 South in the southeast corner of the metro.  Avoid 494 in the Southwest Metro if possible due to major construction and delays.  Follow the directions "From the Twin Cities".

From Southern Twin Cities:

Take US 52 or Dakota County 50 to MN 50 East at Hampton.  After New Trier MN 50 will turn into US 61 South.  Turn left at County 18 a few miles past Miesville (north-there will be signs for Treasure Island on US 61).  Turn right at the Treasure Island entrance.

From Southern Minnesota:

Take US 61 North or take US 63 North (from Rochester) or MN 19 East (from US 52 or Interstate 35) to US 61 to Red Wing.  Follow the directions "From Red Wing".

From Central and Northern Wisconsin:

Take US 8, Interstate 94 or US 10 to US 63 South.  Take US 63 South across the Mississippi River into Red Wing.  Follow the directions "From Red Wing".

From Southern Wisconsin:

Take Interstate 90 West across the Mississippi into Minnesota.  Just past La Crosse Take US 61 North to Red Wing.  Follow the directions "From Red Wing".  As an alternative take Wisconsin 35 North from Lacrosse and cross to US 61 North by or at Red Wing, it's a very pretty drive and a bit more relaxing (if slower) than US 61.

From the Far West and South:

Take Interstate 90 or Interstate 35 to Albert Lea, Minnesota. 

Alternative 1 - Take Interstate 35 North to MN 19 (Northfield Exit) East to Red Wing.  Follow the directions "From Red Wing".

Alternative 2 - Take Interstate 90 East to Rochester, Minnesota.  Take US 63 North to Red Wing.  Follow the directions "From Red Wing".
